Updated: Feb 8, 2022

BAY CITY, Mich. – January 26, 2022 – Tickets are now on sale for the return of Eat Great Winter. Scheduled for February 27 through March 1, 2022, attendees will experience the unique food and beverage event in heated, pop-up igloos at Wenonah Park in Bay City. The event debuted in February 2020 to help continue the Dow Great Lakes Bay Invitational’s mission of building strategic partnerships through culinary programming and community engagement.

“After the overwhelming support of the inaugural Eat Great Winter event, we are excited to team up with Bay City to offer this can’t miss experience in a new location,” said Dow GLBI Executive Director Chris Chandler. “The Eat Great brand is the perfect opportunity to bring culinary events to unique locations across the entire region.”

Eat Great Winter guests will receive eight courses as well as beer and wine from some of the top culinary destinations in the Great Lakes Bay Region. Partners set to appear at this year’s event include MI Table, Whine, DoubleTree Riverfront Grille, Heidi’s Darn Good Cookies, Fig and Honey Cheese Co., Baynes Apple Valley, The Creek Grill and Live Oak Coffeehouse. Each of the three evenings, guests can enjoy the one-hour and 45-minute dining experience inside heated igloos. The 28 igloos feature one table, accommodating up to eight guests. The igloos will be located throughout Wenonah Park.

Event officials are working closely with local and state health officials to ensure proper COVID-19 safety precautions are in place for Eat Great Winter attendees and vendors. More information about these measures can be found at eatgreatfoodfestival.com.

Tickets are being sold on a per-igloo basis for $600 (taxes and fees will apply). All igloos will be heated; however, the temperature inside each igloo may vary based on the outside temperature, so guests are encouraged to wear layers. Reservations can be made at the following times: 5:30 p.m., 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m., 7:00 p.m. or 7:30 p.m.

Attendees can also purchase Eat Great branded winter hats and aprons on the ticketing website. Merchandise will be available for pick-up onsite during the event.
